If you could change a thing about how diabetes is perceived ... What would it be?

Everyone has heard of diabetes, but it is not always really understood what implies living with it.Often, people with diabetes face stigmas and myths that can make their day to day a little more complicated.

🤔 How many times have you heard phrases such as: "That happens to eat a lot of sugar", or "you can't eat sweets ever"?

These beliefs are not only inaccurate, but also reflect general ignorance about what diabetes means. It is not just about avoiding sweets or sugar, but constant control, informed decisions and daily adaptation.

🔥 If you had the power to change a thing about how diabetes is perceived, either in your family environment, at work or in society in general, what would it be?

Remove myths about food?

Improve understanding about hypoglycemia?

Avoid unnecessary comments about what you "should" eat?

Reduce labor discrimination?

I would like to change the perception that diabetes has a cure, I would like to end the scams, products/meals, magical methods and all that morralla that rather misinforms and that it confuses, especially to people who do not have diabetes and that they stay with the feeling that it is not so serious, and that if we do not cure ourselves, it is almost because we do not want.
