There is653 active clinical trialsrelated to type 1 diabetes (T1D).

  • Only13 of those essays(Approximately the2 % of the total) They are oriented towards a "practical cure."
  • Despite the increase in the total number of trials in recent years, that percentage focused on a cure,has never exceeded 3 %Since JDCA began tracking this data.
  • Compared to the previous year, there are20 more in total trials, and3 additional essaysfocused on a practical cure.

Focus distribution

  • He98 % of the remaining trialsThey do not look for a real cure, but other objectives.
  • The largest group (151 essays) focuses on thedisease management(Symptom control, support therapies, technologies, etc.).
