Good Sweets, the Christmas holidays will soon be and I think it has already been mentioned on some occasion, a handicap is created for us, when shopping, the stores are filled with typical Christmas products.
From my experience of diabetics type Lada, I tried everything, 1st buy the special products for diabetics (nougats, marzipan, Polvorones, etc. without sugar) which is a deception, since they add sweeteners, they taste like hell and your glucose rises, very expensive.2nd I spent Christmas without trying any of that, and well it was good, of course not eating anything good that.3º- I ate some sweets, the only thing, taking it into account and pricking yourself too much, and then correcting it, but well, once a year it doesn't hurt as the saying goes, but it's not the healthiest either.
Well, I don't know what options you choose.
all the best

Hello, @Antuam Perez
I haven't been able to eat Christmas products for many years, not because of diabetes but because of digestive problems...not even a "typical" Christmas lunch or dinner...I eat and have dinner like any other day, at home, with my partner, just like the rest of the year.I had surgery 5 years ago and I improved a lot although I still follow almost the same diet. With the operation came diabetes, which is less restrictive than my previous condition. If it were due to diabetes (and what I have on my back), I would eat a little sweet on the days when it was most difficult for me to deprive myself of it and I would cover it with exercise and/or insulin.Diabetic products are a scam, they have a lot of carbohydrates even though they don't add sugar.
I hope you have a good holiday. All the best!!
