Metformin side effects

Hello, I've been taking metformin for a month and I think it's making me feel terrible.I feel sick almost every day, feeling sick, dizzy and my stomach is bad too.Does anyone know if this is normal?If so, does it happen at some point?It seems that I am finally controlling my insulin resistance but the truth is that I don't know if it's worth it.
