A Madrid company has developed the first platform that offers human and virtual telecare to facilitate the daily lives of people with diabetes, a disease whose prevalence in adults in Spain is 14%, with 5.1 million people affected, while "38% are undiagnosed."
The online platform called Insulcoach offers teleconsultation with a diabetes educator, asynchronous chat and personalized resources so that users with diabetes can better understand the state of their body, explains the company that has developed the tool.
The intelligence of the system allows routines to be organized to provide greater peace of mind to the person, and it has "a team of professionals from different branches that guide the user in making decisions," they add.
The operation of Insulcoach begins with an 'online' session where diabetes specialists analyze the person's situation.
Afterwards, the user has the possibility of contracting personalized teleconsultations, access to a chat with a specialist to resolve doubts, educational videos, nutritional habits, access to Insulclock 360 to monitor diabetes in real time and monthly reports with evolution.
The general director of Insulcloud, Judith Ruiz, has pointed out that the platform enables "real monitoring of evolution, motivation and emotional well-being are enhanced, and a safe and accessible environment is created for all people who have diabetes."
