Hello everyone: My wife has been using the Free Style 2 sensor for years and, recognizing that it is a super important advance compared to the aforementioned strips, we found a big flaw that could be easily corrected. The problem is that when the system warns you of a hypo, this warning does not repeat itself if you do not manage to rise above the alarm level.
I give you an example; We have the alarm at 65. Well, the alarm goes off and warns that we are at 63. My wife takes sugar but if the level does not rise above 65 the device does not beep again even though in fact you are at very low levels because you did not recover. This is particularly dangerous when it is a nocturnal hiccup, if you are alone on the street or if for whatever reason you are involved in some activity and you do not realize the situation.
The solution would be very easy to apply by Abbot, it would be enough to set a pre-alarm level that works as before, and a second, lower alarm level that will warn you every 15 minutes if you do not go above the pre-alarm level. So for example.I set the pre at 75, it warns me, I take sugar but I still fall below 65, it warns me again and so on every 15 minutes until it rises above 75. This way we would avoid scares, especially at night.
What do you think?Could we all ask for a solution to this problem?
