Glucose gels

Hello, Good morning, I would like to know what the gluco up glucose gels are like for when you have a low glucose level.

I bought them once.

They are equivalent to 10 grams of glucose.Which is the same as two 5 gram pills.

For my normal hypoglycemias, it is usually too much glucose at once, which almost always causes a high afterwards.

I prefer pills for better control.

If that amount is normal for you, taking it in a hypo is comfortable to carry and take.

I always wear the UP 15 Lemon gels, both in the day-to-day situation.

On mountain bike outings (here I carry the 226 Ers, very good) I also carry slow HCs (bread, cookies, etc.) during the route..

In cases of hiccups50/60 works very well for me, they do give you a strong kick, but in those cases, it is what is needed, with nothing to look at, then you will regularize.

When I'm away from home I use the 5gr pills, because I can adjust the dose better.There are 15 grams in the gel and I think that in general it is too much, unless you are doing some aerobic sport, or the insulin has gone too far.

At home I have powdered dextrose, which is much cheaper than pills and gels, and I have bottles in the kitchen, office, and on the nightstand.
