How can I carry the pump?

Hello everyone!

This month they put me on the pump, the truth is that it was super fast because I mentioned it to my endocrinologist a week ago and she told me that they would put it on me this month, since in July and August (at least in my hospital) they don't put them on.On day 4 I have my first appointment with the nurse so she can explain to me, the truth is that it has been so fast that it seems to me that I will not have time to understand so many things or perhaps I am getting overwhelmed by the lack of knowledge.

I still don't know the model, this Thursday they will confirm it for me.

The doubt I have, it may seem silly to you but as you can see I am a total novice, it is that I have seen that there are some covers that you put over the bra to wear it, which seems comfortable to me, but it turns out that this summer I have a wedding and the way I am wearing the dress I see it as unviable... any ideas?

And if you let me, I'll take the opportunity to ask you, how do you do it on the beach? The thing is, I like to go into the sea as much as I can, to the pool... I'm considering avoiding vacations this year or leaving them later, because if I can only take it off for half an hour (or so I've read) and the issue of sand getting something clogged makes me quite afraid, honestly.

Sorry for the blurb, but it's going so fast that I'm still in the process of assimilating it.

Thank you so much.

Hello, I join the question, because it was just asked and the truth is it is a hassle. The people from minimed who gave us the course said it was a Decathlon running fanny pack, but I wanted to meet people who carry it, how do they do it and how is it the most comfortable?

Hello! In August I will have been wearing the pump for a year and the truth is that I had many doubts but for me it has been a super important improvement.

To wear it, you will see that you will immediately find how you feel more comfortable, in my case wearing it in my bra does not work well for me, because if I wear it to one side it bothers me when I move my arm, and if I wear it in the middle as I have a small chest you can see the bulge of the pump, the best place for me to go if I wear casual clothes is to wear it clipped to the waist of my pants or stuffed in my pocket. If I wear a dress, there are some garters to be able to carry the pump on my leg, which are what works best.

For what you mention about the beach or the pool.I prefer to wear the pump clipped to my swimsuit/bikini, because at least mine can get wet, but sometimes I have also taken it off for 1 hour.Of course, you must plug the entrance of the cannula so that bacteria do not enter, the cannula boxes already have a pair of "plugs" in case you go to the beach or pool and want to remove it.

I have worn the 2 pumps that I had (I currently don't carry any) in a running belt (be careful, not an external fanny pack, but a belt). It goes to the waist, under clothes and is usually not noticeable.I had a great time with the first one, because it came with a small remote control (the prehistory of bombs. They were not controlled with a cell phone yet) that went in my pocket and I didn't have to do anything like lift my shirt or anything to do something.

With the yso, we started badly, because it was not compatible with my cell phone (just bought a couple of months before, but not compatible and the only option for the salesperson was to change my cell phone, to a compatible one even if it was second-hand. As if I needed to change my cell phone every 2 by 3) so if I saw myself lifting my shirt every 2 by 3 to access it, because it had been deconfigured, because it kept saying that there was no coverage or that the battery, after 2 or 3 hoursIt was not compatible (among other endless problems it gave me and so I ended up sending it to hell) so I chose to carry it in a pants pocket, but of course the little that came out of the cannula, later, sooner, it ended up getting caught somewhere (I don't know how they do these things, but it happens and frequently, that a piece of cannula that sticks out, bang, gets caught on something no matter how difficult it may seem).

But in short, if the mobile phone suits you with the running belt, I don't see much of a problem.
