Novopen Digital Insulin Pens

Hello,

This week the endocrine diabetes educator nurse told me to change my current pens for digital ones, less space, and greater control, and I think it's great.

With these, there is the possibility of keeping personal control of the injections, through the mobile phone with NFC system, to know if my mobile phone accepts transferring this data. In the manual, there is a website to go to and see it, SURPRISE.

I go to the Web: Link and there I see that my mobile phone is not useful to have this data, what a disaster, always with the types of mobile phones to access the data from both the sensors, as now with this.

They will update everything, or now we will have to carry 2 cell phones.

The other day they offered it to me for a consultation, but since I've had a lot of things on my mind for a while, I said no.

yo hace casi un año que utilizo la NovoPen Echo Plus, y me ha ido muy bien.

Se sincroniza vía NFC con la aplicación de Dexcom One+,  para lo que tienes que acercar la pluma a la parte posterior del móvil y te incorpora en la app las unidades y la hora de inyección. En caso de que no funcione la sincronización, siempre puedes ver en el visor de la propia pluma la última dosis inyectada (tiempo y unidades).

Se puede inyectar media unidad, y creo que para esta cantidad tan pequeña es más precisa que las plumas desechables.

A mi me la dio mi endocrina, y necesitas que te prescriban la insulina en formato Penfill (es un cartucho con la misma cantidad de insulina, pero ocupa mucho menos espacio). Esta pluma solo funciona con insulinas de Novo NorDisk (Fiasp, Novorapid, Tresiba).

Te suelen prescribir alguna insulina adicional (en formato pluma desechable) como backup por si pierdes la pluma o te fallara. Puedes comprar la pluma en una farmacia o por internet y valen alrededor de 60 euros con una batería que dura 5 años aproximadamente. Cuando la batería se agota puedes seguir utilizando la pluma para inyectar, pero no podrás ver el visor ni sincronizar.

La recomiendo totalmente.
