With 59 years I have premiered with this diabetes and, as I have only clicking since October, I am a bit green.
Mine is pancreopriva, because I had acute pancreatitis about 6 years ago.Soon I had to start taking pancreatic enzymes and every so often they looked at me about sugar and, when it started it that I was in prediabetes, they first prescribed metformin and then they were changing for other pills that I no longer remember the name.
But last summer I kept losing weight (I weighed 44kg, I'm thin, but not so much) and I was weaker.
So wing!Out pills and click on me.I think I recovered more than 6 kg in the first weeks.
Now I have been the sensor for just over a month.I was surprised because I was quite in rank coming from the strips and the method that simplistic of adjusting the insulin they had given me.
With the sensor I can "to play" to keep the line in the range.I still have a while to feel comfortable and not have to be looking at him so much. Fast and slow insulin, type of food, exercise, time between each ... many parameters to control.I have gone through those of "I don't understand anything" but every time I feel better with it.Luckily I am a computer scientist and I like that.
I hope to learn something from those who have taken longer.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us.It is impressive to see how you have handled your diabetes diabetes pancreopriva and how you have adapted to your new routine.
It is completely normal to feel a bit lost at the beginning, especially with so many factors to consider: fast and slow insulin, types of food, exercise, and so on.But it seems that you are already taking good control, especially with the help of the sensor.
Recover weight and feel stronger you should value it as great achievements.Your experience as a computer will undoubtedly help you manage and analyze all that data that the sensor provides, to me has undoubtedly been very useful.
Here in the forum, you will find many members with varied knowledge and experiences, so do not hesitate to ask any questions you have.We are all here to support and learn together.
From what you have explained, I am also sure that you will like the book of the forum (apologize the spam), but I really believe it!
Welcome @Grati I see that it will be very good, the comment of "that you like this" I understand perfectly.Nobody likes diabetes but if something catches your attention (in my case the functioning of the human body seems very interesting, for example, and checking reactions to food, exercise and learning motivates me) makes it less hard. Surely you learn a lot in the forum and that you also give us.
