Good morning!

My son has put his Dexcom G6 sensor without removing the sticker, can I put it back on the applicator to reuse it?

The manufacturer, Dexcom, does not recommend reusing DEXCOM G6 sensors after initial use.

There are several reasons why Dexcom does not recommend the reuse of G6 sensors:

Precision: Dexcom G6 sensors are designed for single use and their precision is validated by the FDA (United States Food and Medicines Administration) for a specific period of use.

Hygiene: sensor reuse may increase the risk of infection or irritation at the site of insertion due to the accumulation of bacteria or other pollutants.

Security: The safety and effectiveness of the DEXCOM G6 system are based on its use according to the manufacturer's instructions.The reuse of the sensors could affect the accuracy and reliability of the device.

Guarantee: Reuse the sensors could invalidate the product guarantee and DEXCOM may not offer technical support or replacement in case of problems related to reuse.
