To me the glucometer gave me the doctor, the reactive strips in my autonomous community are subsidized and they come out of 1'90.The lancetas that are not about eight euros I think
@_Tacker_ said:I am retired so according to the Social Security regulations only 'only 10%' of the amount with a monthly stop € 18.52/month for all the medication that consumes not only for diabetes but also others such as hypertension, Meniere, cholesterol.I play a lot with the date of withdrawal of the medication so that with the margin that I have in the recipe for a month I retire all the medication that I have prescribed and the following month only two or three medications that I have very priced. In this way the month that touches to withdraw everything exceeds € 18.52 and at least the third part is totally free.As every month I have gone to the pharmacy to collect insulin and on the way I went through the health center for strips and needles, in addition to the sensors ........
I put accounts of what my diabetes really costs only in disposable materials, and the truth is that if I was not funded it would be very complicated according to home.
Let's see: two Freestyle 128 sensors.Insulin Tresiba 84.The Insulina Novorapid 56. Two boxes containing contaur NEXT 50.Two boxes of lancetas contaur 30. Two boxes of needles for feathers 54.
No subsidy: stickers so that sensors 6 to month 15 are not falling.Glucose for average hypos every month 20.
On average in my case it would be about 437 euros per month. And without any unforeseen as the glucometer is broken or left without batteries ... etc ....
In my particular case it would be to give up enough things, since Agua Luz Gas Letter Floor Gasolina Gasolos etc ... are already a good fine.
I know there are people who do not receive a subsidy or recipes to discuss them in the pharmacy, and especially in them I once thought.
I have also thought of those people who want social security sensors to prescribe them, without being diabetic because it is fashionable and is chic .....
Well, I don't spread anymore. As the joke would come out according to each case.
In my community, Andalusia, everything is included in the electronic recipe even the needles and in terms of reader and sensors since they included me in the system with free style free 2 The treatment is direct with Abbot and in my case it works great.I receive a shipment with eight sensors, strips and lancets periodically, I usually have three sensors of the previous shipment when I receive them.Regarding the sensor's defect replacement, I request it through the web and within 5/7 working days I have it at my home with the only obligation of according to the error returning the affected sensor totally free.
Leaving the matter lately the sensors give me many false hypos, especially in the last 72 hours of useful, supposed life, of the sensor and very important differences between sensor and chapters some above 100% Does anyone have the same problem? In these cases, the low glucose alarm deactivates because after all after so many years better than we nobody knows our particular case.

No, you don't care about a "'m", if so, you would not talk about your frustration for the expense of public money politicians .....
The question by which the post arose was for the one that would cost us to each depending on the peculiarities of our DM1 if it came out of our pocket, something that some have to be paid for being type two or need some extra ...... but each person is free to respond in their own way ..... by calling a way.

Hello Tracker
Just to clarify, and without wanting to get into any discussion, but I think you went too far.I agree that the Tresiba costs 84 and the novorapid 56, but do you spend the 5 pens in a month???For me, a Tresiba pen lasts 20 days, so the box is 100 days (3.3 months). The rapid insulin ones last 10-12 days, that is, between 50-60 days (about 2 months).
I do spend the 2 boxes of strips, although maybe not 2 whole ones, because we have freestyle for a reason!!!
2 boxes of needles: that's personal. It is true that the needle should be changed with each puncture, but I don't do it... I have half a spare. And I buy the lancets, they don't give them to me in the SS.
In short, I "spend" approximately €250 each month.Taking into account that the SS costs less for products than RRP, I assume that the SS spends about 200.
Be careful, it is still a budget to take into account, and thank goodness that the SS covers all these expenses, because they are surely not affordable for everyone!!!
And if not, I encourage you to look at the news about the cost of insulin in the US... taking into account that there you either have health insurance, or nothing at all!!!
A hug
Sisco

I start to calculate what my diabetes really costs only in disposable materials, and the truth is that if it were not financed it would be very complicated depending on the house.
Let's see: two freestyle 128 sensors.Insulin releases 84.Insulin novorapid 56. Two boxes of contour next 50 test strips. Two boxes of 30 contour lancets. Two boxes of 54 pen needles.
Without subsidy: Stickers so that the sensors do not fall 6 per month 15.Glucose for Hiccups on average every 20 months.
On average in my case it would be about 437 euros per month. And without any unforeseen events such as the glucometer breaking down or running out of batteries... Etc....
In my particular case it would be giving up quite a few things, since water, electricity, gas, apartment, gasoline, insurance, etc... They are already a good fine.
I know that there are people who do not receive a subsidy or prescriptions so that they can get a discount at the pharmacy, and especially about them my thoughts sometimes go away.
I have also thought about those people who want social security sensors prescribed for them, without being diabetic because it is fashionable and chic.....
Well, I won't go any further. How would the joke work in each case?
To be honest, I don't care how much the community of Madrid spends on me.Right now, a pasture, between diabetes and cancer.
I have been religiously paying a third of my salary for many years and without an expense to the system, because no illnesses, no children, no sick leave or anything until this year.
I spend €4.85 on Novorapid and €4.65 on Toujeo, the rest is free.I don't need sensor adhesive or creams or anything.Glucometers and their accessories are free every 3 months.
The only thing that the SS has not covered for me has been the wig, because it covers mastectomy bras, after paying the user, they then reimburse you.
Lada enero 2015.
Uso Toujeo y Novorapid.
Hello,
I have had diabetes for 3 years and until now I paid for everything myself.Freestyle strips 20 euros on Amazon, lancets and sensors.
Now they have started giving me the strips and lancets at the clinic because I asked because a friend told me so.It is not protocolized.
I can tell you that I bought the freestyle sensor libre 2 plus for 15 days online from a French pharmacy and it cost me 43 euros. If anyone is interested, I'll give you more information.
