Doubt with insulin fiasp

Hello everyone.

From my debut (already more than three years ago), I have used the ultra -granted insulin FIASP.It has always done well, until a few months ago.I believe that it has been until the moment I have exhausted all my endogenous insulin reserves.

What I have noticing in recent months is that I think this insulin is too 'fast' for me.

That is, it is very comfortable to use it because I don't have to wait almost nothing before eating and during the first two hours it works very well.

However, from that time, the glucose begins to rise to me sometimes (it stops making the rapid effect). The problem is especially at night, it is not necessary to eat many hydrates or fats, as a little bread or a sad mini empanadilla, I have that effect, transcurred the two hours.

I am thinking of telling my endocrine the next time I changed the fast, but I do not pay too much attention to the changes and I do not know if the remedy would be worse than the disease.

Those who use other rapids advise me the change?

Anyone who has used FIASP and another insulin that has been better?

Thank you all in advance.

@Carussa: After many years of using Novorapid they changed me to Fiasp and with this insulin I spent what you comment.I requested the change to Novorapid again and I am satisfied because the digestions cover me better.Novorapid's disadvantage is that you have to wait about 10 or 15 minutes to start eating.

Hello, I would request that you include humalog junior, since it has half units and at night it can come well for you.

I combine both;Humalog Junior and Fiasp according to the situation.Humalog is very good for me at night with half unity. And Fiasp is very versatile to eat outside etc ...

I went to Fiasp and it seemed like a scam, it took a long time to act and did not cover the digestion. As I had a girlfriend, I did not have to ask for any change from the endocrine, I bought a Novorapid and well.

Thanks for the response, I have already encouraged me to tell my endocrine in the next review.I think the quick change would be good.@Josemibi If I tagged like you the two insulins, it would be the best.

I tb from novorapid to Fiasp and in principle I do well but I put it after eating because it has a very fast effect and if you spend it gives you a descent at the time that I go out without eating anything or very little but I am high at bothhours.I continue with her because the glyd has lowered 0.2 but would return to novorapid

Now with the Novopen Echo Plus you can also use half Fiasp units.I have it and use Fiast cartridges.

I see the fiasp well because it acts quickly and that is great for when you are in a hurry or eat out.Bad?If you start eating while in hypoglycemia or near one, you should not put the insulin until you take a little while eating: acts so fast that sometimes it is more than the glucose of what you eat.My endo told me that at most, I must do 15 minutes of waiting. And that if I am in certain figures, in 90-100, for example, it is time to eat it.

Hello, I have a problem with this insulin, at first it acts well but the system you have to inject is not very fine and take air and when it is in half it is already disastrous since I have to purge in each puncture eliminating two or three units ofair.
I have been using a lot of time and did not have those problems and lasted their effect anymore.
I mention it for the one who uses it since it talks about it and me in question is worse, not to mention the headache if I forgot to purge and you do not know how much to enter the body and be able to correct.
All the best.

I guess it will be every case, like everything.
It comes to me phenomenal.Because I ate and some peaks ... and for corrections!Because sometimes "because yes" I get up and with that it is not much the time that I am in hyper.
If at the beginning of any intake I am low, then I begin to eat and to l0-15 'I inject myself.
It is faster, but it is true that the effect is usually 2h.

Purge the air bubble that is formed by putting the pen mounted and sees purging until it disappears, and it works perfectly again, my TB happens to me what you say, then as it is ultratopida it has its action peak of 30 to 90 minutes,Knowing him you can correct after that time if you see that you need it, knowing all this to me is phenomenal

Hello DiasBesic, the bubble is minimal, my problem is worse because if you put the pen vertically, the plunger comes to deviate and stay sideways and I have to open the pen through the means to focus and purge it a lot until it comes out again withoutAir, we go a mess every 2x3.
Regarding the peak, if that time lasts, the only thing is that this injection system does not see it safe or practical with respect to the previous brand.Thank you

All feathers have to purge them.
I used it and I had no major problem, I purged it in each dose as it puts in the instructions.
I made the same beak as Novorapid and 1.5h action.I left it

Each person is a world and what is good for one does not have to be for everyone.
I personally insulin fiast is doing well. And with the new Echo Plus pen he injected her from 0.5 in 0.5 units.
There are many things that can affect what you say.
I have been clicking for many years and I have lipodystrophy with what the effect of insulin if I punctuate those areas does not make the same effect, if you do not make a good rotation of the punctures that can happen to you.
The FIASP insulin reaches its maximum effect between 1 and 3 hours after the injection and the effect lasts between 3 and 5 hours.
The type of HC you take can also affect, and rations that are not well counted.
Although Fiasp is fast -acting insulin I have to wait for 5 and 10 minutes after clicking to eat, even if as a rice I punctuate me or divided the dose into two.
The mood.
My stomach sometimes works faster than others.
As you see there are many factors that can influence.
My advice, talk to your specialist about everything that is happening to you, and if you see it necessary, look for a second opinion.

Well yesterday I went to the endocrine and I raised what I commented here about Fiasp.I have prescribed a novorapid for dinner (which is when I noticed that Fiasp did not work well).I put it yesterday with dinner, and often change!Much better with Novorapid, it is clear that Fiasp did not cover that food well.I didn't have hyperglycemia, after two hours.

@Carussa that's why I left Fiast. The endo that lasted less, but I wanted to try it and prescribed it.I loved her for breakfasts, but I needed the same, 45 min of advance and more units than with novorapid;I only acted 1.5h, I didn't cover my meals.
I only used a vial, I returned the remaining for people with difficulties and returned to Novorapid.

It happened to me the same.
At first it seemed to go well especially Cdo ate it was some more hydrates. But soon Tpo is as if I stopped taking effect, it took me a lot to take effect and lasted very little (and that supposedly takes very little to start acting).I guess each one is a world.

That is @meginer and that that the endo that would need more units and that it lasted less time.

It gives me to think when I read here that they are doing well, the same if you have never used others, it goes well and to those that we have used Humalog or Novorapid does not go for some development that we have developed in the use of these insulins.
