Nausea and metformin

Hello.I am new.

Type 2 diabetic since October 2022. From that date I began to be treated with metformin, but since last May it began to sit badly.

Rare because in the previous months it had not happened, but began to cause frightful nausea. With medical authorization I stopped taking it two days ago, to replace it with dapagliflozine, but nausea still does not take away.

Please do not come out with "It is best to see it with your doctor."I am under professional attention, my doctor is aware of everything.

We believe that my nausea are because of metformin because they have already made me countless laboratory tests to rule out other causes.

They are just nausea, without any other symptom, and I write to the forum to know if someone else has gone through the same and most importantly: I want to know how long they were removed nausea or any other adverse symptom after stopping taking the medication.

From what my doctor and two other doctors have told me, in addition to my personal experience with other substances that have fallen badly, I know that the side effects can sometimes take days or until weeks to disappear even if the medicine has stopped takingcausative.

I would like to know other experiences about it.

Greetings from Mexico and thanks for accepting and reading my concern.

If you are doing sports and diet, metformin is poison, it produces hypoglycemia and one of the symptoms of hiccups are nausea, it has happened to me, it has been to remove metformin and it was nausea ...

That metformin does not produce hypoglycemia, man.In your case it was the other component, which you did not take metformin alone.

And how is it possible that a Colombian diabetes specialist strongly recommends to remove metformin if you are doing diet and sport?Look at it on YouTube, it is called Dr. Zuraima Corona specialized in diabetes, has a clinic in Colombia that only diabetes is about, there are more advanced than here ...

Watch his video "stop taking metformin already"

I have taken another hypoglycemic medication and metformin and nothing to do with each other. It is true that diarrhea or nausea can cause but we are going from there to think that some nausea is a hiccup symptom either. With the other one spent a hicc as virtually every day and horrible with metformin I have never had one and I have diet and exercise.I usually take it to Rajatabla.

When he gave me the nocturnal hypoglycemia, they were putting 2 grams of metformin daily, next to sport and diet that was a bomb for me.Above my endocrine never explained anything about the subject hyper - hypos and I had to bother alone. When I gave me the hypoglycemía I got bad, my symptoms were very strong sweating and many nausea, I threw myself in bed and suffered for 4 hours without knowing what happened to me.My body was healed only at 4 am and the next day I entered the Internet and put my symptoms in the search engine and resulted in a hypoglycemia !!, it is very shameless that you do not admit that metformin produces hypoglycemia ...Let's see if you change the chip ....

Metformin can produce hypoglycemia if you exercise a lot and eat little just as it happens to those who use insulin in those circumstances. And if other hypoglycemic drugs are also taken, you can also have a sugar drop. This has been told by several people with type 2 diabetes, but "San Google" also says.

If you do a lot of exercise and eat little, then you want me to give you.I really blame a medically that it is rare that of hypoglycemia, which could happen but if you are eating little and you are doing a lot of exercise is that a hiccup can give a healthy person perfectly with that plan.Metformin does not cause hypoglycemia, but if you take other things and do not eat and you are doing sports, I don't know what you want to happen ... it is normal for that to happen but even if you would not take that medically.I have taken another pill than if it is hypoglycemic and at two hours of eating a normal breakfast in me to have and start eating things like crazy to go to find me very bad. That has never happened to me with metformin, but I do my diet but as well, not as little.

In addition, if you go to Vademécum there it indicates that metformin by itself does not cause hypoglycemia, which is when it is combined with other medications or situations that you have said to eat little and strong exercise when it does, but by itself not and that has beenmy experience compared to another medication than
