Hi David, welcome.
Type1?
Is that your medication is typical type 2 ...
Victoza is only used for type 2. In fact put it in the prospect, not usable in type 1.
And type 1 need fast insulin and you don't put yourself.
Come on, you'll be type 2

Thanks !!!

You will be type 2 only that you put insulin because your pancreas no longer produces but that does not mean that you are type 1 just to put insulin.As they tell you, your medication is for type 2.

@koper, welcome to the forum.
Ask your doctor how much you have glycosilada.A diabetes is well controlled if it is below 7, better if it is 6.
If the glycosilada is above 7, you will have to readjust the treatment, it may not be fast at meals, but if that happens you have to treat you the specialist, the endocrine.
I don't know if you have glucometer, to measure after meals, in addition to fasting.
If the glycosilada is below 7, you are well treated.

If your glycosilada is 9.2 it is very high.Check your medication.
I think they would have to look at you the C peptide, which indicates if you still produce insulin and how much.I tell you because Victaza does not work if you do not produce (it could be the reason that your glyc is so high despite the medication and what you say you take care of yourself).And if you no longer produce insulin you need quickly in addition to the slow one you already put on.It is my case, for example.
What is clear is that you are not well controlled with the current treatment.

@koper, you need to see you the endocrine.Tell your doctor to derive the specialist, that this glycosilada has to go down at two points, at least.
I think they will have to change the treatment.
All the best.
