New agreement to collaborate in projects and activities related to diabetological education, the improvement of medical assistance and the promotion of continuous improvement in the field of care for people with diabetes.

Among the planned actions are the realization of technical days, share information, publish studies and collaborations, and improve training for both internal medicine and people with diabetes.

The signing of the agreement seeks to improve attention, quality of life and assistance to people with diabetes in Spain.

The Spanish Society of Internal Medicine (SEMI) and the Spanish Federation of Diabetes (FEDE) have signed a framework collaboration agreement for the joint development of cooperation and activities to promote diabetological education, promote the improvement of health care, andstart initiatives that are considered of interest to promote continuous improvement in the field of care for people with diabetes.

Among other actions, the agreement, signed by the president of the SEMI, Juana CarreterThey contribute to the improvement of healthcare activity and the elaboration and publication of studies and collaborations of mutual interest for both entities and for the training of both the group of specialists in internal medicine and of people with diabetes.

As a starting point for this collaboration, Fede has actively participated in the XVII Meeting of the Diabetes, Obesity and Nutrition (Don) work group (Don) of the SEMI, held in the city of Valladolid, through its expert representative in Diabetes and ObesityJosé Manuel García Romero.
