Dear Customer:
Users who use the Android 13 operating system with the Freestyle LibreLink application (with activated alarms) or free freeyle application 3 may experience prolonged period loss periods, which could affect the ability to receive alarms or glucose readings. If this happened, turns off and activate the bluetooth or turn off and turn on the phone again. Please continue reading to obtain additional information.Note: If you are not sure which operating system you are using, consult the section "How to know the version of your operating system" below.
Problem / Subject
Abbott has recently discovered that, if smartphones are used with the Android 13 operating system, users can suffer prolonged period loss periods in Freestyle LibreLink and Freestyle free applications for Android.During these prolonged period loss periods, users of glucose alarms will not receive low or high glucose alarms and free -free 3 users will not receive glucose readings. If you are free freeyle user 2, this problem does not affect your ability to obtain glucose readings by scanning the sensor through Freestyle LibreLink application or with the reader.
Potential damage
Not receiving glucose alarms could lead not to detect a low or high glucose level, with the consequent impact on treatment, such as not administering insulin (if the glucose is high) or not taking glucose (if the glucose is low). Not receiving glucose results (only for free freestyle 3) could lead not to detect high or low glucose levels, with the consequent impact on treatment, such as not administering insulin (if the glucose is high) or not taking glucose (ifglucose is low) when required.
Measures for users
If you experience prolonged periods of signal loss, any of the following actions should help recover the connection:
Turn off and turn on the Bluetooth from the Android phone settings Turn off and turn on your phone again adjusts the signal loss configuration by enabling the option "Criss not to disturb."Please check the page www.freestyleandroid.com for more information on how to configure alarms.
If you have not updated the operating system of your phone to Android 13 and you are using the Freestyle LibreLink or Freestyle Free 3 application, we recommend that you delay the update until you receive a new ABBOTT notice.
If these steps do not solve the problem please call customer service in 900 300 119.
You will know that you have connection when the symbols (see below) disappear from the application.
If in the future you experience a prolonged period of signal loss you will need to repeat one of the previous steps.
It is important to note that signal losses may occur for reasons outside this problem. For example, a signal loss may occur if your phone is too far from the sensor. If this occurs, follow the instructions described in the User Manual Problem Resolution section.
This problem does not affect you if:
You use the reader to start the sensor you use the Freestyle LibreLink or Free -Free 3 -free 3
