I have known you because fifteen days ago, and after starting to see blurry for an eye, I was diagnosed with a retinal / choroid neovascularization in the hospital.Apparently it is because I have enough diopters.
After three days they put an intravitreous injection of Lucentis and in a month they look at me again.I still see blurry and after searching on the Internet I have seen that it is very similar to the macular degeneration associated with age, and with 46 years imagined as I am worried about losing the vision.
Is there anyone with a similar problem that can tell me your experience?
Welcome to forum @1976jlo, it is normal that you are worried with recent vision problems, I would like you to tell us how you advance with the treatment they have applied to you.
I do not have much information that I can give you, they identified me when reviewing the eye fund a year ago, or so, small spots that have then been referring, without having to do a specific treatment, beyond controlling betterglucose
Thanks for the FER answer.Well, for now everything remains the same, I still see blurred at times.Sometimes I see well and most of the time somewhat blurred.
Hello @1976jlo. It is normal that you are worried, I was also for a while until there has been an improvement.I'm going to tell you my case: They detected it after having uveitis in both eyes exactly one year ago. They have been injecting Lucentis into both eyes for nine months and my vision has improved very remarkably.Ophthalmologists say I saw 40% when I got to the consultation ... In the last review they told me that the left eye is not quite right but not so bad to put injections so now they are doing a monthly follow -up instead of thebimonthly that was scheduled. He was also 46 years old, like you.In short, I see rather than bad.
During the process you will notice changes in the vision, as you say sometimes you see well and sometimes not. This has also happened to me, specifically in places with intense white light (supermarket, operating room)
Now I have been injected without injections for three months although it may have to do it again.
Much encouragement with the treatment, arm yourself with patience and give it time, I am sure that it will do well.

Rosquilla, first of all thank you for the answer. It helps me to think that there are people of my age with the same problem and that it has been improving. They priced me for the first time twelve days ago and I still don't notice improvement, but I don't know when I should notice, because doctors are at full speed and they didn't explain much.Above I have dedicated myself to look for things online and at what time I did, ha ha ha. Thank you and I'm very happy that you are improving.
