Hi, I wanted to ask if you know how much glucose is a unit of insulin. That is, if I am 150 and I put the insulin to how much it lowers me?

A Toujeo unit does not lower you between 30 - 50, in any case that would be lowered by a fast insulin unit.
Slow insulin is not used to correct, it is the insulin that must keep you stable for 24 hours.

The story is that in the morning I am starting to get up between 140 and 170 and for the day I am between 120-140.My endocrine says that I am at the limit and that is why it has given me an insulin unit so that I see how such.Tb has told me that when I do sports I do not put it on me, because I see that with the sport I go down and I'm afraid to have hypos.

But then, what is your normal insulin guideline?Have you told you that you upload a unit slow or start using slowly with a unit?

@Smartinez, is that not everyone goes down the same, you have to try.If you get up with 170, maybe one more slowly leaves you in 120 ... but it depends on each one ..

@Smartinez As you don't use insulin, you will have to put on that basal unit and see how you get up.Surely for the day instead of 120-140, you will go down to 90-100 and you will get up at about 100-140.
Over time you will need a pill and you will leave the basal for more Andelante, it is what the DT2 has.

I don't know, from my ignorance a basal unit is nothing. It's a matter of trying to see how.

In his case, I remember that it was like mine, peptide C for the soils, I do not think that only with pills can be controlled.

The levels that I am telling you are without pills, they directly talk to me of insulin.

It is that the pills are for when the pancreas works well but there is insulin resistance. If the pancreas does not produce insulin or produces, there is no choice but to add insulin to the body.

Therefore, because a DT1 does not produce insulin and @smartinez does not use insulin and has acceptable values, its pancreas produces insulin

Yes, he has told me that the pancreas still works for me.I don't know, I have the mess again in my head.If I begin to prick I know that I will have hypos from time to time and the curve that is spoken will be more unstable but if I do not sulked I get up in 140-150-160-170 it depends on the day.

@Smartinez who can best adjust the guideline is your endocrine .... will know your sensitivity factor and particularities .... If you have told you to try 1 ud, start there
