Monogenic diabetes

I listened to a presentation from Dr. Luís Castaño and I was going around my DM1 diagnosed 22 years ago.

What he exposed makes me think that he can have monogenic diabetes.

I do not find who does the famous genetic test in A Coruña, it is more I am not even able to find an endocrinologist who listens.

Can anyone help me in this?

Hello, I am the same as you.I have a rare diabetes and coincides with the Modly 5. I had an endocrine that diagnosed me Mody, but, in reality in my reports it comes out from type 1, type 2 to type 3C.
I am in Barcelona and I will try to find a laboratory that does the genetic tests.If you want, we are in contact.

You should look for an endocrine specialized in these issues, if you don't care because of the private one but but, find out about whether there is any social security.The genetic study was done to me in Social Security

If you have or have had chronic pacreatitis look and tell the possible 3C diabetes to end

It is a genetic motto.It is called HNF1B missing syndrome (Mody 5 called it before).

Malformation in the tissues of different organs, including pancreas and beta cells.In most cases of this mutation they are affected: liver, pancreas (malformation)

My daughter has been with high transaminases for many years and they never gave her importance.Now, in a routine analytical, glycosilada came to 6.5.So it is in the hands of endocrine and this when seeing .I case, has sent it to genetic tests.
