Socorro: Diabetic son

pilarpaguilar's profile photo   07/30/2022 6:32 p.m.

My son debuted as type 1 diabetic in April.

Our reference hospital is the General Hospital of Villalba of the Quiron Group (hospital concerted)

Today he still does not without her glycemia sensor because the consultation nurse who gave the formation and formed her in her handling from that date, to date and after several claims to which they have not answered me, I did not knowto do

The truth is that his finger continues to know his glycemia and unable to avoid hypoglycemia

I'm desperate .... what do you recommend to do

Thank you!

1. Request Nurse Change
2. Buy the sensor and start using it until you enter the financing

Thanks for answering
I will have to inform myself about the device that is financed in Madrid ... and change of a nurse I imagine that you mean in exchange for diabetes education ...

@pilarpaguilar: What a disaster!Go to "patient attention" of the clinic and explain your case.If they do not give you a solution, register a complaint instance.

I think it is more direct that you go to your pediatrician in the health center that corresponds to you and give you a solution. In health centers they have to have sensors.
I don't understand how they don't replace the nurse who is withdrawn.

In Madrid they finance freestyle 2.
Yes, I referred to the diabetes, education and review nurse, I suppose.
The Primary Care Center dispenses the material when the endocrine indicates it.I don't think they can intervene and help you.The diabetes nurse has to manage financing. In the public hospital it works like this, at least in which they treat me.
I took two months to have the sensor from the hospital discharge because they have to have the diagnosis of positive antibodies, without that I do not give it to you and it is an analysis that takes their time, as a kind of crop.
My recommendation is that you do not expect anymore. There is no color, with the information that the sensor gives you much better glycemia, with the glucometer it is very difficult and you feel very lost.
It is a task that you have to pay the first sensors but I assure you that it is worth it.

Thanks again
The sensor was going to put it on June 17 ... in the hospital
I already had the antibodies and the first class was June 16
The endocrine spoke of deriving the Jiménez Díaz Foundation .... But everything was in the air
Again thanks to all for the contributions
Tomorrow I will go to the hospital to submit a new written claim

They serve me in the FJD and give me the sensors from SEP 2020, the previous years, 5 I paid them to Abbott.
It is true that until the nurse on duty does not put you on the training list, they do not give them.
Ask for a center change, the FJD works very well for everything.
