Hello!!
I wanted to ask you a question to see if you can illuminate me ...
As I am new in this, the educator installed me an application to calculate the insulin dose based on the amount of chations that I will eat ....
I have as a sensitivity factor: 80-70-80 and I inject approx.1.10ud for breakfast, 1.50ud for food and 0.60ud for dinner ....
I would like to know how I can calculate the dose of insulin that I have to inject, without depending on an application.
I tell you what happened to me yesterday: I ate at noon 4r of lentils (I know they are slow absorption) and 1r of bread peaks; He offered me 7.5Ud of insulin, I injected it and did not keep the 15min.Waiting because I was 102 (novorapid use) when I started to eat and thought that if I wouldn't get off very soon ... and less badly I did it!
When I had punctured I started with the lowness (and the happy application indicated that I still had a lot of insulin acting);I tried to temper my nerves, because for more inri, the sensor was annoyed (it is already the third one that is bothering me followed at 8-9 days of use).I took 1/4 glucose pill, I waited 15min.I took another 1/4 and 3 bread piquitos ..... until the lentils and what I had taken began to act .... The truth that when I recovered I stayed all afternoon at very good levels.
But I get the "shit" of seeing that I do not stop going down and that I still have insulin ... and if I happen to what, then, it gives me the rush (it has already happened to me 2 times more), soYesterday I didn't want to spend too much with the glucose pills and I was cautious.
Other times I have eaten lentils, I have waited the 15min.And it has not happened to me .... It also happened to me with the Russian salad and another day with something I don't remember, ...
Any trick or advice?
Because the truth, I spend a very bad time and I am taking fear of injecting too many units ....
Thank you very much in advance!
