Hello, my name is Estefanía and I am 32 years old.
I wanted to introduce myself and I am very happy to have forums of people suffering from this disease, I think it is very helpful to exchange experiences.
I would like to tell my story a bit ... In my case, diabetes came to me at a very difficult age.She was a pretty rebellious girl, in addition to loving sweet and eating in general, and was rather thin.
As a result of entering the adolescent age, I did not completely accept my illness.I wanted to be like my friends: eat everything, smoking, drinking, going out ... Besides that I gained a lot, I suffered even bulimia and I had to go to psychologists.I liked to eat so much that what I was doing was putting insulin of more and swelling, which led to hypoglycemia and keep eating, and so succcessively ... until I discovered that if I did not prick what I touched, I lost weight.Being with the sugar through the clouds and constantly dehydrated, I managed to lose up to 10kg ... I even had a diabetic coma ... All for my traumas in terms of weight, in general I have never had high self -esteem, and diabetes meHe complicated her even more.

Today I am 32 years old and I have started having stomach problems.I was very scared ... Every time I ate anything I filled me too fast, even my mother (we already know that mothers are very intuitive) began to tell me to take care of me anymore ... something did not see well in me.
I did analysis will do 1 month ... Glycosylated hemoglobin to 11, imagine ... otherwise all right (less bad). The doctor told me that we are in time to solve this lack of control, they have given me preferred with the endocrine and finally I will go to consult ...
I am making a diet, a lot of vegetables, bread and carbohydrates the righteous to maintain the weight, and a lot of sport (athlete I have always been). There are things that I don't understand and I would like to ask here to see if you can advise me ...
I was injected with the Lantus at night, but the nurse has changed it to me in the morning to improve fasting sugar levels.
I need to play sports in the morning, since in the afternoon I have to devote time to the study.
Anyway, my routine is to get up at 7h and inject myself.I make 30 min yoga and already breakfast and I inject the fast (Novorapid).Weight and looked at all the rations of hydrates that consume. For example today I have made homemade oatmeal granboards with a yogurt, the ingredients were oatmeal, 1/2 apple, a teaspoon of peanut cream and another of protein, and I have eaten them with a yogurt, adding the carbohydrates added some4 rations and I have injected 1 more unit to lower glucose a bit (I had 135 on an empty stomach). What I do not understand is because after having had breakfast, I have gone to walk 30 minutes, then 1h and 40 min of gym (weights and cardio) and when I have looked at the sugar at noon it has shot me 430. It is something that IIt usually happens often and I do not understand why, if I get more, it happened to me that gives me hypoglycemia and I have to have even more breakfast ... Let's see if someone could advise me what I should do in this case.

I hope with many desires the visit with the endocrine tomorrow ... I want to be healthy.I take great care, sport, as very healthy, almost all homemade, to bread. But I have some lack of controls that I don't just understand ...
Thank you very much and I feel the tostón.I hope to find here a little emotional support, I have been damaging my body and mind, and now I am starting to accept the disease. In addition there are very worse things, people who really have serious health problems ... This makes me think that I am fortunate, that well cared for, diabetes can be perfectly cope with, and in the end we can eat everything, always controlling the rations andThe ingredients.

Thank you very much and forgive the tostón!

Hi Estefaniabc32,
The nurse gave me a diabetes and sport guide (quite thick) and said that the exercise of force immediately climbed the sugar and then, for hours, it was going down. You will have to comment with the endocrine in case you can guide you about what training it suits you.
I do not trust endocrine for certain issues, it seems to me that their nutrition recommendations are outdated and outdated. The proposals of nutritionists seem much more successful.
You can look what this says, Link
Notice that I do not dare to recommend any specialist or any specific diet, I only suggest that you study what professionals disseminate and adapt to your routines what you think you fit with your sensations and that it does not imply an impossible sacrifice to fulfill.
For example: I have read that the ketogenic diet is very good for diabetics, but I do not consider even adopt it.Because?Because it seems very difficult to carry out and because, today I am not willing to stop eating fruit, legumes, beer dairy, cereals.
So you tell, your routines are very good, both in nutrition and in exercise, you go along the right path.I hope your consultation with the specialist tomorrow will be useful and with the key to that high despite breakfast and sport.
You will tell us

Thank you very much for answering 🤗 Yes, I understand what weighs is not highly recommended for diabetics, but it is something that I love and I do not want to stop doing ... Besides that I agreed with enough cardio, especially walking.Yes, to see if I give me any solution ... I would not even mind having to inject insulin to mediañana in order not to leave it the truth. Thanks again 🙃

@Estefaniabc32 Tell you that you don't have hits to make weights.

What happens is that when exercising intensity, hormones such as adrelanine, catecholamines are released ... that cause a hyperglycemic effect on the body, that hyperglycemia is subsequently absorbed by the muscle since it demands glycogen so you just have to tryWhat intensity you can endure without seeing your blood glucose.

I am 36 years old, since 15 being type 1 diabetic and I have been on the 16th.And the only thing I have had to adapt in certain cases is to do 10min of cardio post weight training to lower that hyper of 170-180 so do not worry that you can continue training normally.

Thank you very much 🙏🙏 the truth is that I usually walk 30-45 min before going to the gym, but even and so when I lunch my sugar (I train in the morning).I think I should put some dose of insulin to Mediañana ... today I have not trained and yet and so I had the sugar a little high ... Anyway, how complicated this. Thanks for the advice, I will try to do some more cardio before training.Greetings!

@Estefaniabc32 The cardio do it after the exercise of strength and not before, if you do before you can happen to you two things ... Start low energy and second start in Hippo.

If you do strength first, you will have energy ... and seeing the hyper or not that it can already generate counteracts in the amount of cardio.

If glycemia is very triggered when eating and having exercised, the problem is not the exercise .. but well or what you eat or the basal insulin adjustment you have.

Good, to see what level are you strength?I do one or two days a week, two others swim. The days I make strength, then I do a little cardio on tape.I believe, TB for what you have read that strength is totally beneficial for diabetes since once you finish the muscle, it continues to burn glucose a long time.To me the truth does not produce me as soon as hyper, what I do is moderate.I think that rather it is related to food and basal because there are times that I have a little hyper even after swimming

I make my own circuit but as if I did Bodypump.Little weights and many repetitions. What I do most are 45kg from its back in rowing, the rest does not usually do more than 15kg.Come on, paw ... hehe.Today I have been with the nurse for an hour, how to start 0 go ... There are many things that I have not done well.I have changed Lantus to Tresiba to see how he is doing, I started today.Thank you very much for your contribution 🤗
