Should an endocrine assign?

Hello everyone.I summarize:
Two years ago my mother has told Spain that its general doctor was diabetic. He gathered with nutritionist and a pill that my mother does not remember what it was because she only took a month and she left her because she hated taking medications.

Now that I am more aware of diabetes, in Toledo I asked his doctor general for evidence in general.

Results:
HBA1C 6.3
HDL 62
LDL 134
Triglycerides 98

Usually on an empty stomach my mother is in 120 glucose.

Anyway, I tell the doctor to send an order to make an appointment with the endocrine, but said that my mother is not diabetic and did not want to give the order ...
How are two different communities, he says that the results do not appear in the system or their diabetes history ...

My mother is diabetic because one day dawns in 120 others to 140 and others to 108 ... and two hours after eating about 120 to 140.

My mother has a little overweight: measures 1.50 and weighs 65 kg.It is difficult to lose weight although its diet is vegetable and protein scarce refined carbohydrates.

Opinions?I want an endocrine to review it to do more exams and tell him how much insulin he has and what type of diabetes and whether he needs statins or not.But I don't know, according to the results of the exams;Yes should Social Security assign an endocrine or should we request it private?!?

Thanks for reading me!

I doubt that with your mother's results, they are not so bad, they want to send an endocrine.I gave a HB of 16!And it cost me almost a month to convince my doctor to ask me for an appointment with the endocrine.
With these results and overweight it is seen that it has a principle of type 2 diabetes. Even if it is the header, it should medicate it so that it does not go, surely with oral antidiabetics (pills) as they did at the time. And your mother should pay attention and take them, of course.

I tell you how the thing is going in Andalucia.
Your mother is diabetic, her glyd is above 6, between 5.5 and 5.9 is considered prediabetes. If basal blood glucose, that is, on an empty stomach, it is greater than 126 is also a diagnosis of DB and at any time it reaches 200.
That said, it seems that it is a DB type 2.In Andalucia, the DB type 2 a priori, does not carry it in endocrine but the family doctor. He is in charge of doing analytical controls every 6 months, controlling the topic of view, feet and reviewing.Endocrine is only derived when it is a type 1 diabetes (which is obviously carried by the endocrine), or a very difficult control of very difficult control that cannot be controlled from primary care.So it is here and I imagine that it will be simulating throughout Spain.I tell you about public health.

Yes, of course, of course it can be done, but the usual thing is that the dm 1 takes them the endocrine, another thing is that there is a setback and see the family.Tb se from small hospitals that do not have endocrine and are seen by an internist specialized in DB.
Any well -trained family doctor can do it.

But you say that you plan pregnancy, therefore in your case it should be endocrine the one to take you, and more now that Tb has prescribed novo rapid for special situations

If good that now, I believe that when this moment passes directly they will not send me.In fact, when I went to the elementary school consultation, he put on me when I was with the specialist's report, he also told me that having diabetes was no reason to go to the specialist.Of course accustomed to the treatment n the other one that they referred to me from day one, I fuck me

Ah of course, having diabetes is not a reason for the specialist !!
Well, they explain to you with a MODY diabetes as you are going to carry a pregnancy with hormonal, glucose, cholesterol, thyroid..etc control without what has it studied precisely that specialty

You have to bring you an endocrine, Vanessa, mandatory, and more in a situation as a pregnancy that is considered risk.Sien your province there is no endocrine because an internist but he has to be a hospital specialist.

It is that there is a lot of reluctance of head doctors to send to the endocrine.
It cost me the life to send me.Based on insisting, I got, at 3 weeks, to ask me for an appointment.Having arrived with HB 15.9, weight loss, ketone bodies ...
It seemed like type 1 and I am type 2 because I have no antibodies. But neither does it reserve pancreatic. And my head doctor determined to take away the insulin.I did it 3 days and it was a disaster and I already planted with the theme of the endocrine.
I spent a lot of fear unnecessarily.I thought I was going to give me something with the trial-error ...
