Do you always put the basal in the culete?

marine's profile photo   05/31/2021 9 p.m.

The question is simple hehe,

I ask why today for example I take a dog day with 250 on average .. and it is as if the toujeo that I put on this morning, I would not have put it ...

And as the ass is supposed to be one of those who have the most absorption .... I don't know if someone has recommended or tried to put it elsewhere.

I in the buttocks and at night.Or legs
If you have resistance, I compensate it with faster, I no longer play the basal, I have realized that in those days it does not depend on the basal, it is my body that alters.
I came to triple the basal but did not lower glycemia, now I only deal with it quickly.

Before with Lantus I always put it in my ass, but the Tresiba always in the arm.

I have been, I'm always fine, ... maybe I have cured: P

Hehehe .... I have thrown the towel with my hormones. In the end the new endo has told me that if, effectively the hormones shield to insulin. The bad thing is that I only have 5 good days per month.

I was lenemir in legs, but it hurt a lot and made Moratones. In the gluteus it does not hurt and I put myself, now Toujeo, on the side that is not the sensor, not coinciding in the 14 days to avoid lipodisphrophy.I have a good buttock 😉.Then change the other buttock when the sensor expires.

@Nila is like a ball that already carries insulin, you just have to put the needle and put the dose.Do not worry that it is very simple, it has nothing cumbersome and takes you anywhere. You have to have them in the fridge, well that you are using at room temperature.

I put it in the "chichilla" that is above the culete. And as in my case it is Levemir, I have been recommended to apply it at 2 different moments of the day to make better effect and cover me well 24 hours.I put it in the morning on a side and on the night in another, rotating inside each one as well.If I see that I have the area somewhat touched to use that part of the body, change a season to the thighs and return in a weeks. Is that in my thighs it hurts a little sometimes ...: Smile:

The best thing for slow insulin is the area where I manage it, cullet and thighs, are the most slow and therefore the best absorption zones for this type of insulin: wink:
