Hi Luz Alba, you are already registered.Welcome.

But I want to put a subject and I can't do it and I don't see published when I write.I am very unaware of this.
Thanks for the welcome and I would appreciate any help.

I have so many concerns, doubts, confusion.
I am Spanish and I live in the Dominican Republic, my son has just debuted with type 1 diabetes.
Here there are no continuous glucose meters, so I bought it in Puerto Rico, but I don't have to claim or ask when something goes wrong.I have seen everything I have seen on YouTube.
My son carries the free freestyle 2 but here there are no apps that work with that device so the service it gives us is half.
I have read in the forum that they know glycosilada with this device and we do not know how to know.
Thanks for reading me and for your time.
I feel like an apache with technology😢
@Uzalba
Welcome to the forum !!
The best way to know glycosilada is that an endocrine does a blood analytical every three months. That is ideal. And that he advises you.
The sensor can help you a lot.But you will have to learn to interpret it.Little by little. You will see how it improves. At first it is a world, really. It is not easy
Cheer up !!!
All the best

Thank you all for answering.
Yes, we are pending appointment with endocrine again, but I wanted to know how freestyle could give an approximate data of glycocilada.Maybe I didn't understand the issue where I read it or maybe I don't understand me.
It can give you, as you said ... approximate.Sometimes, it is the real one, but you don't have to trust at all.The best is an analytical.
Welcome to the forum!
But the question is, in which part of the freestyle gives that data.?I don't know where you put that information.
In the freestyle meter it does not give it, you find it in the application.
In the meter, you have the average glucose option and you can get an idea.
Anaisabel thanks.Clarified my question.
Someone put an approximate formula, the average that the meter gives you adds 86 and then divided by 33 I have consisted, it is not accurate but it is quite close to

Alberto thanks. An interesting fact to make an approximate.
Hi @luzalba, if you showed with the glucometer you cannot see the glycosilada, if you have a mobile and the freeLink application you will see the same as in the free glucometer and give an approximate value of glycosylated choosing AC1 in the menu (hamburger icon).
It is based on a formula that starts from the average blood glucose value. You can find the formula on Google.
Lada enero 2015.
Uso Toujeo y Novorapid.
Thanks Ruthbia.
The inconvenience is that in this country (RD) you cannot download those app related to freestyle, since they do not have the permission for use yet.
You can lower the SW of the application.I got it out of Holland when there was not yet.
I have downloaded Diabox. It also goes very well for Free, measures continuously, it is not flash.I like and also gives the glyc.

Ruthbia is that I don't know how to do any of that. How is SW downloaded?
Is it on PC or on the cell phone?
I am very lost, I already said that I am nothing technological🤣🤣
Thanks Ruth
Diabox does not appear in the App Store either.
