Researchers at the University of Copenhagen have shown that 30 minutes of daily training provide a loss of weight and body mass equally effective as in twice the time.
An investigation of the University of Copenhagen concludes that performing 30 minutes of Cardio has the same effect on weight loss as twice as much time after monitoring, using a heart rate monitor and a calorie counter, for 13 weeks to aGroup of 60 overweight men.
The results of the investigation, pressed at the Link QuestModify the body mass index (BMI).The researchers divided the subjects into DS groups: one completed training sessions (running, bike and rowing) of 30 minutes, while the other did so for one hour.
"On average, the men who exercised 30 minutes a day lost 3.6 kilos in three months, while those who exercised for a full hour only lost 2.7 kg. The reduction in body mass was approximately 4 kg for both groups"reports Mads Rosenkilde, main author of the investigation.
"The participants who exercised 30 minutes per day burned more calories than they allegedly owed in relation to the training program we established them. Training load similar to WHO recommendation
For researchers the difference, or the absence of it, can respond to what to perform 30 minutes of exercise is an affordable objective that promotes the desire of the participants to do even more physical activity.It is also likely that those who did an hour of exercise ate more because of what the weight loss was less than the one planned.
"The participants in our study trained every day for three months. All training sessions were planned to produce a slight sweat, but the subjects increased the intensity at least three times a week," says Rosenkilde
The participants in the study, who belong to a wide percentage of the Danish population with light overweight, sought a change of lifestyle with the help of physical training, and in the study period, were closely followed by the researchers, having aSpecial emphasis on energy balance, insulin resistance and blood hormones.
What is clear is that the results show that the recommendations of the World Health Organization, which suggests completely completing at least 150 per week, are a good starting point to improve many health -related aspects.
