I'm a little lost.Luckily this forum exists

Hello.I've been reading this forum for weeks and I think it is better to introduce myself and start participating, and incidentally I vent a little.

Debute in June, the verbena of San Juan, with almost 400 and left the hospital with janumet, but I was all day with nausea and they changed it to Xelevia, but in my pharmacy they did not have it and gave me thesavel, although this week did notThey had it and have given me Januvia.I have not noticed a difference between them and apparently they do not take much effect, I take one in the morning and another with dinner.

But as I used to be at 300 every day, even with the diet and exercise (walking), because they prescribed slow insulin, abasaglar, 10 units that I wear every day at 8 in the afternoon. With it I wake up between 70 and 100 but with its diet I easily upload to 290.

From the total ignorance I began to read there and reached the low carbHe is against this diet, he has spoken with my doctor and have prescribed me fast insulin, Actrapid Innolet. He says that I measure me before each meal and whenever it is more than 150, I put 4 units.

I have not tried it yet, without the hydrates I do not need it, although I am considering it since there are many people telling me that living without carbohydrates is dangerous in the long term, although I have not eliminated them, I take a few when I am about about 100.

Ah weight 44 kilos and I measure 1.70 (I've always been thin, well not so much, normally about 47 kilos, but when I remove my sweets and lod snacks because I have lost weight quickly, although before fed food and now if, maybe with that I come backTo my weight

A few days after debuting I started seeing badly, like when you take away my glasses, they sent me to the oculist and said it was because of the peaks that I had been having, that when my glucose stabilizes my sight will come back, II don't think that happens because today I see worse, they don't even use the glasses I used closely, but he told me that it was nonsense to make me new until I stabilize

And last data, I have only seen the header and the nurse. The endocrine met for November. My doctor has tried to advance it but he has told her to give me insulin, apparently for her I am not an urgency

Thanks to you I am getting better, I read messages from people as lost as I have been improving, it gives hope. And I also use many tips and experiences that you give about meals, pecking, ways to bring anxiety etc.

Anyway, hello and what thanks for existing!

Hello! If you don't go from 150 you are very good.
They will have to do more tests to know what type of diabetes you have and if you will need fast or not.
You can be well fed even if you have a low hydrates diet, the important thing is to have glucose controlled.

They would have to test to know what type of diabetes you have (peptide C and antibodies) and from that it will be easier to establish the most appropriate treatment.Maybe your doctor can request them and so you would have the results when you have your appointment with the endocrinologist

Well particularly I can't tell you how to proceed at the level of what to do or take.
But if I can tell you that in the Region of Murcia by law in its statute it says that for first consultations the maximum period for specialist appointment is 50 calendar days.
Move and search your CCAA because there has to exisit the maximum deadlines but it is something that everyone or most people do not know.Surely it is less time than they have given you, as you get closer to care for the patient of any health center or hospital, and you put a claim but not addressed to the hospital but to the Minister of Health of your CCAA.
It is the only way to deal with health.

@minucti

It seems to me that the appointment for November with the endocrine is very late!Look to see how you can accelerate it to the maximum.

It is very important that they tell you very soon that type of diabetes you have to better limit the type of treatment. And have a course if possible or sign up if you can.I do not know what living zone, but it seems terrible to give you the appointment so late.

Probably even this "honeymoon" and that's why you work more or less well only with the basal.Nothing happens to get some fast when you eat carboh that require insulin (such as fruit).Vegetables are great for us.If not as more than 200 gr, I don't tell them. But that depends on each one.Be careful if you eat very few carboh and raise blood glucose. You have to avoid having ketone bodies in blood. There is a "protocol" to continue that you have to learn.

I make a relatively low diet in carboh but adjusted to my needs. You just have to learn your factors, that is, how much fast insulin you need for carboh rations. It is not the same, breakfast, that food and dinner and TB depends a lot on what you do after eating. You will see how your body reacts.

I am not a nutritionist, but I think you are in the low weight of optimal weight for your height.TB depends on your physical structure.Try at least to return to your usual weight, with which you were comfortable, eating healthy proteins and fats (salmon, sardines, eggs, chicken) and vegetables. You will recover your weight little by little.

I was directly entered in the hospital for a week when I discovered that I was in 300 (fast weight and thirst). The view (myopia) worsened, but at three weeks I saw again as always.

A very strong and encouragement greetings

I don't know how you work, in Madrid in 7 days you have a specialist.

Patience with diabetes, it takes a bit to control and the view is normal.I did not see even closely or far alone in the middle, I take about two weeks to see well.

Choose the diet you want, if you need insulin Pontela.I made lowcarb but I get tired how limited it is and also adore fruits, legumes and vegetables.

The low carbohydates diet is perfect.Do not eliminate them totally but it is super demonstrated that it is good.Of course, the best will tell you your doctor.By the way, it is urgent to know what kind of diabetes you have and an appointment until November seems an exaggeration.Look for how they see you before. There in Spain, can't you go to a private doctor, on your own?

Hello, although I know that there are many people in favor, I have enough health relatives and I will give you my opinion with the knowledge that has been contributing to me.Carbohydrates are what give energy to the body so they are totally necessary.A low carbohydrate diet (I mean very low) will improve your sugar but you are spoiling other organs such as the kidneys that, a priori do not give the face but the consequences are very important such as ending dialysis. In the end, if you do not eat carbohydrates, you are replacing them with proteins and an excess of protein is as bad as an excess of sugar, hence doctors are against that diet. I would trust doctors and not trust of doctors and notthat you read in these forums that, even if they do it/We with good intention many times we do not have enough knowledge.

On the other hand, I also tell you that if you debuted with 400 I would try to see me an endocrine as soon as possible because a header is not prepared to carry a diabetes, not because it is a bad doctor but because it is not his field.I debuted with 490 and sent me quickly to the hospital. In my case they let me go home because my mother is a nurse and I had knowledge of the subject but it is normal for you to enter both health and to teach you a little. If you do not get appointment before and get out of control, I would go to the Emergency Hospital saying that you are very bad, that you are dizzy ... or something like that.
I hope I have helped you and that nobody is offended with the diet.I say it with my best intention but both that and the ketogenic diet seem crazy to me.You can reduce the amount of hydrates but always eating what is necessary to be healthy.
