The former Bayern, Atlético de Madrid and the Colombian team Adolfo ‘El Tren’ Valencia, remains hospitalized in the Colombian city of Cali for decompensated diabetes.

"Mr. Adolfo Valencia consulted for having a fever, general discomfort and headache on September 19 and entered for emergency service," the director of the San Juan de Dios Hospital de Cali, Iván González, told Efe.

González informed that in the center he was practiced for paraclinic exams and was subsequently hospitalized with a diagnosis of hydroelectrolytic imbalance and dehydration, due to the diabetes he suffers.

The doctor explained that Valencia is currently in the intermediate care room and in "better conditions", while the dose of medication necessary to adjust their glycemia levels.

"The patient has evolved daily, is in good condition, but still has alterations in their levels of glycemia and are barely controlled will be discharged, possibly in about 48 hours," González added.

Adolfo 'El Tren' Valencia is remembered for its participation with the Colombia National Team in the World Cups 1994 and France 1998, as well as by scoring somewhat in the 0-5 win that the coffee team tulves to the Argentine National TeamSeptember 5, 1993 in Buenos Aires.
