Hello, my name is Paco, 52 years and 8 years ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in adulthood. They recommended what we all know about food and exercise. They prescribed me insulin slow basal lantus starting by 20 units.Everything that was over 120 for 3 days would rise insulin 2 units and on the contrary, that is, if for 3 days it was below 120, lower 2 units.I currently put 52 units in the morning.
I asked the endocrine how much I had to put on me maximum and he told me that while I was controlled, the dose or lowered it and that I would not worry about the units.Generally my glucosilada is between 5.9 and 6.1.
Do you think the number of units, the rules for sub -lock and lower it?
thank you.

Welcome @"mysterio", that guideline to modify Lantus is correct, you are well advised.
