The Spanish Diabetes Federation (FEDE), the Diabetes Foundation and the Diabetes Association of Catalonia (ADC), members of Somos Patients, will participate from next Saturday, January 18, and until Thursday, February 6 in Barcelona andTogether with the Spanish Diabetes Society (SED) and its SED Foundation, in 'Diabeteslab', exhibition on diabetes promoted by the Pharmaceutical Company Novo Nordisk.
As the organizers report, "the exhibition presents a physical space where the patient and his family are the true protagonists, where you learn and understand how to manage this disease, through explanations that break distance between the object and the person."
Free workshops
The assistance to 'Diabeteslab', which with the collaboration of the Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the City Council of Barcelona will be held at the Civic Center Joan Oliver 'Pere Quart' –Carrer del Comandant Benítez, 6– In 10: 10:00 to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, it is completely free.
Similar to previous editions, 'Diabeteslab' will host numerous activities to bring diabetes closer to the population in an understandable and didactic way, in the case of a photographic and audiovisual schedule with the milestones and the history of the disease, various documentaries on diabetes type diabetes1 and type 2 and educational games for the little ones.
It will also include the 'Nutrition and Diabetes' workshops - on January 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.labeling practices with different types of food and sweeteners;'Integral psychological approach to diabetes' - on January 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.person who has diabetes;and ‘Diabetes and Sports’ - on February 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in which it will show how to achieve sports, health and better diabetes management.
Participation in workshops is completely free, although the limitation of the number of places is required prior registration.To register click on each of them.
