They have always told me, I have heard .... that insulin once open loses effectiveness per month.

If it is out of the fridge or the starting, they are usually spoiled around the month but each type of insulin has its specific characteristics.Look what the manufacturer's prospect tells you.

I last for more than a month and I have them out of the fridge.I don't notice less effect.
If you notice something weird, change the ball.
The buffer has ever saturated and the needle does not take insulin.

Maybe as it is for specific moments, more time is preserved by putting it in the refrigerator and taking it out a while before so that it does not hurt.
