Lilly has summoned the VI edition of the 'Diabetes Cup Spain', a soccer tournament for children with diabetes, with the aim of normalizing the situation and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport.
As reported by Lilly, there are already a total of 1,200 registered in the last 5 competitions, and some 400 children have enjoyed until the date of the tournament, the "only football tournament aimed at children with diabetes throughout the country."
'CUP Diabetes' is consolidated as an initiative designed to favor the coexistence of families with diabetes from different cities in Spain, normalize the perception they have of the disease and promote the responsibility and autonomy of minors in the management of their illness, they haveindicated.
Interested children can register until May 6 through the tournament website;In addition, children between 8 and 13 years must send a photograph, a drawing or a video answering the question 'Why do you want to participate in the VI Diabetes Cup?'
Once the registration period is finished, a jury will choose the 60 best candidates, based on the main motivations of the participants.
Those selected will be invited to participate in the tournament, which will take place on the weekend of June 16 and 17 in the City of Soccer of Las Rozas de Madrid, official headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the National TeamSpanish, along with two relatives.
Finally, from Lilly they have explained that during the competition, minors will be controlled by medical and specialized nursing health personnel.
