An increase in the number of patients treated at the Carlos N. Brin Polyclin Diabetes Clinic, in San Francisco, of the Social Security Fund (CSS), was recorded in the last months of this year compared to last year.
According to entity statistics, to date, a thousand patients have been treated at the Diabetes Clinic, expanding the number of patients treated per year.
In the Diabetes Clinic, which was initially called “Diabetic Foot Clinic”, it expanded its coverage by attending type 1 and type 2 diabetes, they carry out cures, vascular checks with Doppler system and education about the care of this disease.
Statistics from the Comptroller General of the Republic indicate that about 15,780 people died from 2000 to 2015, a figure that constitutes this disease as the fifth cause of death in our country.

The CSS has diabetes clinics in 32 facilities nationwide, to prevent this disease and give timely monitoring to those who suffer from it.
