Aragon has promoted the development of the first Atlas of the treatment of diabetic patients, a tool that includes data from six autonomous communities, namely, in addition to the Aragonese region, the Canary Islands, Community of Madrid, Navarra, the Basque Country and Valencian Community;and the incorporation of the Balearic Islands is planned.
The objective pursued with the creation of the so -called "variability in the management of diabetes", in accordance with the provisions of the Aragon government in a statement, is to constitute a method of visualization, in an accessible way, of attentionwho are receiving those who suffer from this disease.
The Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences (IACS) presented this project on a technical day, held at the Biomedical Research Center of Aragon (CIBA) on November 24, which was attended by professionals and health managers throughout the country.
In this sense, Gabriel Celaya, Minister of Health of the region, showed that thanks to this initiative the positive repercussions of efforts will be increased to improve the quality of care of patients with diabetes, since through this system, which, whichIt allows to detect both strengths and weaknesses of the strategies against this disease, the reality of each affected by this disease can be responded.
