The Diabetics Association of El Camp de Morvedre (Addicam) has received a national prize, specifically in the III edition of the Mercedes Sánchez Benito Awards, organized by the Spanish Diabetes Federation.
This is the "Diabetes School" project, aimed at parents with children with diabetes in the region, which was a candidate in the "health and quality of life" category and finally, it has been a winner.
Initially three projects were presented, two of them were finalists in two different categories."From Addicam we want to share this national recognition with all our partners, friends and collaborators, since without them our work would not be possible."
On the other hand, in the week of November 13 to 19, the Association developed its campaign of awareness of the disease, framed in the commemoration of World Diabetes Day on November 14.
That same day, coinciding with the date of the celebration, an open day was held at the premises.Informative tables were also installed in the markets and in the L'Epicentre shopping center.
