Good morning,
I have diagnosed type 2 diabetes for 3 years, until 3 months ago I took oral treatment combined with bad results (values between 380 and 550 without apparent reason), I was prescribed as a pattern of Apidra (at each meal) and Tougeo at night. The apidra caused me side effects (as I cannot compensate them with antihistamines or cortisone due to another pathology), they changed me to Novorapid (with more acute effects) and finally they have scheduled Humalog (to provise if the side effects are reduced and if not returnto Apidra). After 3 months of insulinotherapy and various dose climbs I have not yet managed to normalize glucose levels (in the last analysis the glycosilada was 7'8)
I would like to know if this is normal and also if Humalog is more effective than Apidra.
Thank you so much.
