How can I stop diarrhea product of metformin treatment?

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, my doctor is treating me with 1000 mg metformin in the afternoon at lunch and 850 mg at night when I slept this this has caused me

Talk to your doctor if you persist.This between the effects of this medicine.
I went through the same thing 3 days before confirming that I have diabetes 1. Then I went to insulin and the diarrhea and stomach pains ended.

I also had it and they took it away and they passed me to insulin
