Problems with the diagnosis of diabetes.

Hello everyone and thank you very much in advance.I would like to know your opinion since I am quite worried about it.

I am 25 years old and in my family only my sister presents diabetes 1, my parents none.I am a healthy person of 1.68m and currently 55 kg.

6 months ago I suffer from tinnitus (very high and constant beeps in both ears), weight loss and eczema in the fingertips.Due to all this they did some analysis that gave hyperglycemia, and the world fell on me.

They did two glucose overload tests that came out in about 250, and an analysis with acth and high cortisol hormones, which have ruled out that it is the problem with other tests in which I have already stabilized.

I have been doing self -medications about 4 months and my figures are not at all high, I take half a metformin pill in the morning and night, I have values below 150 almost always, it once goes up but it is very punctual. Before, without the pill it didn't varied much either.Although of course, if I eat a palm tree I get more than 200 hehe. With the pill the same.

The fasting figures are always similar, as before dinner, they are 100. It seems strange to always have the same in such an exact way.

The endocrine has sent me an abdominal CT to rule out injuries, in 10 days the results will tell me and I am very worried about all this.

I am waiting for some genetic studies to determine if I have MODY, but I have read in the forum that parents or grandparents must be diabetic, but it is not the case.

In the analyzes I have vitamin D deficit, low C Pepid C (0.8), type 1 diabetes antibodies are negative, and hemoglobin at the time was 6.5, but it has dropped to 5.5.

I have no typical symptoms of diabetics, I have no more thirst than normal, I am not going to urinate many times etc ... I don't feel bad either.

Something similar happened to someone or could it guide me?

Thank you very much.

What you explain points to an alteration of blood glucose (also called metabolic syndrome).

Hello "@hulio".
So you have diabetes, although what kind is more difficult to say.If you are looking for information you will see that under the umbrella of diabetes there are many subtypes.I see that they are doing all the tests, so little by little and to see what they are telling you.
It seems that although the C peptide is low, it continues to produce sufficient insulin to achieve quite good control with food and metformin.I seem great these values of 100 on an empty stomach. If the values remain stable much better.

Hello, I am not a doctor or anything like it, my story resembles yours a lot.
Year 2001 average 1.69 and weighed 56kg
I am diagnosed with diabetes and in a week and a half they are super controlled, so much that the specialist did not believe it and commanded several biopsies, the fine diagnosed me Celiaquia.I already tell you, I am not a doctor or anything similar but to the best they go around the shots
All the best
