The Official College of Pharmacists (COF) of Seville and the Association for the Care and Defense of the Diabetic Child of Seville (ANADIS) have promoted a joint initiative for which the Pharmacy Offices of the Province may offer from nowand more complete pharmaceutical care for people who have diabetes.
As an initial measure, a specific training program will be carried out among Sevillian pharmacists so that they can improve their skills in the Pharmaceutical Professional Council around this chronic disease as well as the support they provide to both patients and their relatives.
Thus, already trained professionals may provide personalized attention to the orientation of the pharmacological treatments established and their possible interactions.Likewise, a network of pharmacies specialized in diabetic pathology can be created.
The collaboration agreement has been signed by the President of the College of Pharmaceuticalof Pharmacy of Seville with patient associations in a way that develops networks of specialized pharmacies in pharmaceutical care, support and advice to patients affected by concrete pathologies.
Together with this agreement with Anadis, the COF has agreements with the FM Union and Force Association, which represents fibromyalgia patients and chronic fatigue syndrome and their relatives;Adhara, who does the same with people affected by HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections;and Lovexair Foundation, which works to sensitize society about the importance of early diagnosis and prevention of lung diseases, such as COPD, Asthma and others less known
