Hello
I am new in the forum.
My 25 -to#daughter was diagnosed with diabetes, they prescribed metformin and has dropped the levels remarkably. They have not yet confirmed if it is 1 or 2. Someone would know if the fact of reacting positively to metformin could be an indication of type 2?

I think so.
Type1 need insulin from the beginning. But there are also type 2 that, over time, have to use insulin.
In any case, the diagnosis is confirmed with antibody analysis and pancreatic reserve.
Hija de 35 años , diabética desde los 5. Glico: normalmente de 6 , pero 6,7 la última ( 6,2 marcaba el Free)

In general (at least that has told me most endocrine), if it is before 30, it is usually type 1. I debuted with 27. I hope I was wrong!

There are other types of diabetes, maybe your daughter also depending on the profile does not fit type 1 or 2. In the 2 especially if you have no other things such as overweight, cholesterol, triglycerides ...
