Wow! I think it's great news! Here I reproduce the content!;) Thanks @"Rociollinares" !!!
Presenta Note -----
The Department of Sanitat Universal I Public Salut will finance the continuous glucose measurement devices with people with type 1 diabetes mellitus insulin pump carriers. This has been announced by the Minister of Sanitat, Carmen Montón, after the meeting held with members of the Committee of the Community Diabetes Plan, Scientific Societies and Patient Associations.
In this way, the Valencian Community becomes the first community to achieve this improvement in the quality of life of these patients.Montón stressed that "it is one of the actions of the Plan for Comprehensive Assistance to the Diabetic Patient of the Valencian Community in which groups of professionals and patients are working."
Specifically, the beneficiaries of this measure will be patients with type I diabetes mellitus who, despite being bearers of insulin bombs have a bad metabolic or glucemic control, as well as patients with serious repetition hyploglucemies or with inadvertent hypoglycemia, andpregnant women who require better glucose planning and control.
Thus, the devices to be financed perform continuous glucose (MCG) monitoring in real time. This technology has demonstrated a higher benefit to capillary blood glucose controls, both better blood glucose level control (HBA1C), and the frequency of hypoglycemia and also its gravity. In this way, this improvement in the control of the disease has a very beneficial impact on the quality of life and patient safety.
Continuous real -time monitoring
The devices for this purpose allow continuous monitoring in real time through a sensor that is inserted into the skin through a simple puncture.Inside the skin remains a small painless filament, which serves to measure glucose every 5 minutes for approximately 1 week and transmits the result, either to a receiver for this purpose, well to the insulin pump and even a mobile phone.
The measurements are made in what is known as interstitial fluid, that is, the liquid surrounding the cells under the skin and through a mathematical conversion allows to know the concentration of glucose in the blood. The information generated allows better treatment adjustments in people with insufficient control or an instability of glycemia.
One of the main advantages of communication between the sensor and the pump is the detection of hypoglycemia and the automatic insulin infusion stop in these situations, so that insulin administration is reactivated when hypoglycemia has been corrected. This is especially useful and beneficial for patients with frequent hypoglycemia and in those who do not recognize hypoglycemia for the consequences they entail.
Financed only in exceptional situations
This technology, except in exceptional situations, is not funded by the National Health System. In the Valencian Community and, within the lines of action of the new Plan for Comprehensive Assistance to the Diabetic Patient, there is facilitating the access of this technology to those people who need it most. The Department of Universal Health and Public Health, assumes this challenge that, in the short term, more than 350 people will benefit and, from now on, all those who as a result of the evolution of their illness may need it.
For this purpose, the indications in which, in a priority, access to advanced insulin pump linked to the continuous measurement ofglucose. This work has been carried out by the working group formed medical specialists in Primary Care, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Nurses and Diabetes Educators, Patient Associations, Scientific Societies and Representatives of the Department.
It is an initiative based on the recent recommendations of the Spanish Society of Diabetes and the Spanish Pediatric Endocrinology Society.
Type 1 diabetes mellitus
Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a pathology that requires multiple doses of insulin and capillary blood glucose analysis in most patients. However, sometimes, it is not possible to achieve the objective of glycosylated hemoglobin control, or, as a consequence of insulin multidosis, frequent or serious hypoglycemia are triggered that interfere with the daily activities of these patients.
To avoid or improve these problems, the therapy with continuous infusion of subcutaneous insulin is available, also known as the infuse of insulin.

It seems like a great news to me but what happens with those who have no bomb whether they do not put it or do not want it?Are they less diabetic?Or is it less hypoglycemia risks?I think that it is the other way around, one of the indications to put on pump is that they have many hypoglycemia and with the pump they are reduced so I see it a bit contradictory and some will say about the pump ... and then what?Do we all ask for a bomb?

Already, that is the debate we have in the WAS groups from Valencia. But well, there is also talk that they will expand who may need it.For something you start ....... we will see how it evolves, meanwhile, to continue fighting to reach everyone and not only here in the Valencian Community.

It seems to me almost impossible to believe until today @rociollinares !!!Congratulations to all Valencians !!I wish I could reach the rest because if not, we all go to live there ... I don't know if we were going to fit.The requirements I hope it is the beginning and becomes more accessible over time, since the mere fact of being diabetic and everything that conditions your life, should be the only required requirement.
Diabético tipo I desde 1990 y tengo 50 tacos. En Abril de 2017 con Minimed 640g y su MCG. Hoy estoy con Minimed 780G. Financiado MCG por la SS desde Junio-2018. Hipertensión arterial y ocular. Colesterol.
Even if it were not 100%, I did the public health system finance it in 50% would give me a song in the teeth and many of the people who cannot have economically access to surely could be benefited ..
I found myYou do not have a bomb touches me it seems to me total discrimination, that criteria have followed to decide that with a bomb you have more need for an MCG if precisely with a bomb they give more strips to measure themselves .. eye that I do not say that those who have no moreRight but we will all be the same I say ...

I hope that when they see the benefits of continuous measurement and the income they avoid, they end up financing everyone. But we don't know when ..,
Hija de 35 años , diabética desde los 5. Glico: normalmente de 6 , pero 6,7 la última ( 6,2 marcaba el Free)
Fiasp: 4- 4- 3 Toujeo: 20
The indications in principle are these, expandable, they say, in the future.
Patients with type I diabetes mellitus who, despite being an insulin pump carriers have bad metabolic or glycemic control, as well as patients with serious repetition hypoglycemia or with inadvertent hypoglycemia, and pregnant women who require better planning and controlof glucose.

Let's see, it seems great to give this first step to finance the continuous measurement.Peeeeero ....
What irritates me (and much) is that public health moves based on a briefcase and not studying all possible alternatives to be able to decide with autonomy and impartiality. It turns out that for you to give you the MCG you have to be a bomb user, it will be that those who continue with bolis do not deserve it or we are better controlled (it was not the other way around ??)
I just realized that in the press release that Fer has not hung, but I have read other news where he puts it clearly: Medtronic bomb users.Do you say more ???
It seems unfortunate.
Fer's press release is taken directly from the Valencian Generalitat page.News are leaving many, such as what is going to be financed is free, and yet the Generalitat talks about continuous measurement and free is not considered as such, so we will have to wait more news ..... what ifIt is said that it is also planned for patients with serious or inadvertent hypos and for women with pregnancy forecast or pregnant women. The association is asking many questions about the subject, to see if they are taking us out of doubt.

In general, good news is a beginning. It makes no sense to be for bomb users (everything for them?).I think it is a right to all diabetics, the opposite is to deny us an unimaginable (and unattainable) quality of life in another way.
greetings
PUBLIRREPORTAJES NO¡¡¡
It is just a small advance ... it continues to see me insufficient ... regarding what you have said about the continuous meter that will be financed will be free .... somehow, I doubt it, since it would not make sense to finance itFor people who have a bomb but could not communicate with her.@"Fer", a question, the bomb if you have a bad glymic control for two years now you can demand, in quotes, to put it on you?I have been with the fatal glycosylated and I have commented on the end of the end, but they tell me that we will look at it but in the end they never look at anything, I am a little boring on the subject! All the best

I do not carry the bomb, and I have not had to do the procedure @"kerensammolina", however, there are many foreros who have already gone through the experience, I share several issues in which they explain it.;)

It seems unfortunate.
There is something that is very clear, if it is only for people with a bomb, they take away that a large patient market can access the Flash system, as always neither the media nor the healthy healthcares know how to distinguish between flash system and continuous glucose measurement.
But we are going to raise more problems, now all of us who doubt that they wanted to put a bomb want to put it on?more problems because there will be less money for bombs?
The bombs have been financed by the health system because all people who have diabetes do not want bomb, but flash system or continuous glucose meter 95 % of people with diabetes if they want it.
They have to clear many doubts, but we always have the photo of the same commercial house, because they are not responsible for fixing the problems of their bombs with their bubbles?Instead of selling us so much. They better clarify before publishing.
- Will they put what they want to those who want?
- Why can't a pump diabetic can't have a measurement system?
- Children, for me who are one of my sources to fight, don't they deserve it too?
- Why does it have to be a specific measurement system?
- Is there really money for this and how have you been publicized?Or maybe they will try to try to administer the money well?
- The tails to ask for pump will be like the strikes of unemployment now?
- Are the proper training?
- All Spaniards are not the same before the law, right? We are not.
It is sad as they play with us in this country.

I'm going to look for the newspaper information from Alicante where they gave the news.
The data that I think I remember were:
An investment of € 1,400,000
Purchase of 3,000 units
Mainly aimed at children since they had to click a lot (5 or 6 times) plus insulin
And the expenses were € 120 per month.

ok @"fer" flash system the free is clear what they put.Well, that is certain that they are not what they put, it makes it clear the last paragraph by indicating that they request a not law to urge the subsidy, we are going that one thing is already approved and the other is a proposition.
"Also highlight the non -law proposition approved by the Valencian Courts with the consensus of all political groups, to urge the subsidy by the Valencian health system of the" Flash Meter ", consisting of a subcutaneous sensor that would also allowMeasurement of the blood glucose level. "
