Livemed Iberia, a company specialized in training for the health sector, has decided to offer its students, more than 25,000 primary care doctors, a series of monographic courses on the approach of diabetes, a pathology that, only in Spain, suffersMore than 3.5 million people, with added risks such as kidney failure, cardiovascular disease, stroke, blindness and loss of fingers, feet or legs.
“Adhesion is one of the greatest challenges that doctors have in relation to the treatment of the disease and the number of protocols that doctors need to take into account has increased due to treatment innovations.The escalation and progression of the disease together with the reduction of the consultation time have created the perfect storm for the customization of the treatment, ”explains Livemed Iberia.
The Primary Care Program in Diabetes (AAPD) began the course held in Madrid on April 20 with an assistance of more than 200 doctors.It consists of six courses that will be taught with the same program in the main Spanish cities.In 2017, in addition to the course held in the capital of Spain, those corresponding to Bilbao (Vizcaya) and Barcelona will be held.
