Hello, my name is Manuel, I have been diabetic for several years and in the last 2 years I have developed diabetic neuropathy especially at my feet.If this were not enough, also use orthopedic templates, which sharpens the pains of the pia. That is why I would like to ask for advice on footwear, especially mountain footwear.Thank you so much.

Hello Manuel, for me it is two independent problems that you raise, on the one hand that of the diabetic neuropathy, which you have to put yourself in the hands of a neurologist for its treatment, and on the other of the templates.I also had a problem in the arc of the foot and a specialist of the locomotor device sent me some templates that for some years were doing very well but then I had to change, it is possible that the same thing happens to you, than those you haveNow they do not fully fulfill their function because the architecture of the foot has changed. You can also change the original templates of the boot for another more cushioned and put the orthopedic template on top, I have currently replaced the original templates of my boots by an Ortholite and they are phenomenal. And as for the choice of boots there are brands that are much more comfortable than others (although against more comfortable they usually last less), when you buy some, look in a specialized store that has a lot of variety and you are looking for those that are most comfortable,You can also put, during the summer, trail shoes with membrane instead of mountain boots, they are also more comfortable and even provide more grip and lightness.

Thanks for your comment. For neuropathy I have been taking gabapentina for two years, prescribed by my neurologist, and recently I have renewed my templates.
I also told the Podolo the possibility of putting some gel templates under my templates, and he advised me because they cause overload in the calves.
That is why the only option I see is the fluffy footwear, and the only one that I have left to try is the mountain.

Anyway to the footwear you buy you can put other additional templates, only that you would have to buy it a larger size although mountain boots is always advisable to buy it a larger size.Although I do not like to say brands, but in case it helps you, I the most comfortable boots that I have found almost always the Solomon but if you find a house that makes them to measure, that there are, you will be better.
