The Diabetes Foundation has announced the opening of the registration period to request Diabcamp scholarshipCountry, most of them members of the Spanish Diabetes Federation.In addition to enjoying their vacations, the objective of these camps is that minors learn to control and live with their diabetes and improve their self -care ability autonomously and responsible.
This year, the Diabetes Foundation returns to continuity to the Diabcamp scholarships, and for this it will have the support of Novo Nordisk and the Federation of Lions Clubs and, for the first time since its launch, with that of the Spanish Federationof diabetes (Fede) and Nestlé Health Science.
Families can request aid, which will have an economic amount of 175 euros, until April 15.The Diabetes Foundation has enabled a application form on its website for all those families with less economic resources that want to opt for these scholarships.
According to Ana Mateo, manager of the Diabetes Foundation, “our goal is that they can enjoy the Diabcamp scholarships as many children with children with diabetes, since the camps are a unique opportunity to promote learning on diabetes tothrough coexistence with other boys and girls in their same situation. ”
Teach to control diabetes
