This Monday, the record was opened in Ramos to participate in the club “A sweet life without sugar”, which is aimed at diabetic people, in which participants will receive training from more than 13 specialists on how to live suffering from this disease.
"Today we start this club with the registration of the participants and then we will continue on the first Tuesday of each month with the activities and themes that are going to be discussed, all focused on having a good life without the complications of diabetes," said Dr. MyrnaDel Toro, founder of this program.
He said that for this activity they were able to gather more than 13 specialists from different disciplines, among which are nutritionists, gynecologists, surgeons, dentists and other branches to intervene in this educational program.
“Every month there will be some of these specialists with the patients. It is a hundred percent educational activity because we are going to teach people about the complications of their disease, glucose monitoring and other important issues with the support of this specialized team, ”he said.
The doctor said that those interested can still be included at the first session that will be on April 4, at five in the afternoon at the House of the Elderly of DIF Ramos Arizpe.
“It is worth including this club because it is free for everyone.None of our specialists are charging because we do it with the sole purpose of helping people who need to be oriented. In general, doctors only do the diagnosis but do not tell people how to act in this regard, ”he said.
He pointed out that this program is not only for people living with diabetes, but for those who, for genetic reasons, are exposed to suffering from it or for those who have a relative in this condition.
"The name of the program refers to the fact that we can all live without the complications of the disease and this modality is important because the fact of being a club and living with people who go through the same thing, helps a lot," he concluded.
