Good night.I am from Madrid and I am 24 years old.A month and a half ago I was detected type 1 diabetes and from the first Dís clicking 3-4-3 of Novorapid and 11 toujeo units.

I control the sugar quite well, the problem is that a week ago I started with kidney stones and have given me nephritic cramps almost daily since then.I have not expelled anything.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the urologist but it gives me the feeling that I will last two news.Only 24 years and I see that I'm going to die very young.I'm shattered and I don't see any kind of hope ...

Someone with kidney calculations who are type 1 diabetic and have been living for several years or something?I am sunk ... greetings and a pleasure to be here.

I have your age and diabetes for almost 15 years, there are times that I have been doing very well, sometimes fatal.Diabetes has already given me small problems of sight and thyroid but that does not mean that I will die.If you have just debuted it is normal for you to have problems derived from bad control at first and the majority disappear or reduce to the months when you begin to bring the controls well so do not worry.Kidney calculations have many people without having diabetes so they don't have to be decisive in anything.
It is true that I also live with the fear of not getting to Vieja, of arriving with many health problems, of having an acute complication and ending badly ... of a thousand things. But with good control and good attitude, surely everything improves. It is best not to think about it because you just manage to end a huge anxiety that will only make you worse.
Much encouragement, and if you want to talk to someone of your age also with diabetes you can write me around (I do not know if there are private messages because I do not use the normal forum, but if there are writing a private or whatever you need)

But kidney stones have nothing to do with diabetes, they will take them away with waves and that's it.No problem.
If you say that you are well controlled, which is the important thing, you will get old, do not worry.
Welcome to the forum.

Already, but if you have renal diseases and diabetes, it is a deadly combination, and I love life :( also it is not confirmed that it is because they do not see the stones in the radiography. I do not know why they do not make me an echo, it has fabricThe thing tomorrow I have an appointment with the urologist so to see what he says, although he already told me one that was too young to have calculations already ...

It seems that if I control it, although limiting hydrates and proteins through the kidney, in the end I will not be able to eat anything.

Thanks for the welcome. All the best!

Hello a month and a half with diabetes and damage to the kidneys, let's not think it has anything to do with diabetes. There will be something else. And as they tell you, it happens to many people and not being diabetics.Your endocrine also controls the kidneys with the microalbumine ratio.I am sure they will ask you because it is routine.I still don't think I have anything to do with how I told you.
With a touch of optimism and taking good care of you will become very old
All the best

calm, I understand you.Like the one who says you just had a surprise with your diagnosis of diabetes and you see everything black. It's normal, you will inform you and you will see things differently.Do not cut yourself and ask what you want that there is a lot with experience.

Quiet man ... most likely it has nothing to do.Many people have nephritic colicos and are not diabetic, in fact, scheme has nothing to do.What happens is that misfortunes are never alone and has given the chance that everything has gathered.
Anyway I understand you, I am your age and I have little with the subject.I am also a nurse and I see the misfortunes to all and because of the diabetes and at first I turned a hypochondriac that, lightened that you, believed that a couple of news was going to last and I would be blind and in dialisis at 30 hahaha. But no, I must tell you that the great majority of people with problems, apart from presenting them at an advanced age, are people type 2 with other problems added such as cholesterol, hypertension and especially obesity.
With good control, we can carry a laaaaarga and happy almost almost almost normal life (I say almost because no one is click 3-4 times daily x.x)
Greetings!!!

The renal calculations are not due to diabetes, kidney problems with diabetes are firstdisastrous control.

The problem of calculations would have been the same without being diabetic.
