The Alícia Foundation (Food and Science) and the La Pedrera Catalunya Foundation organize a workshop to improve the diabetics diet on February 17 in Món Sant Benet.Alicia's experts will give tools to avoid monotony that this food restriction can trigger in the daily menus.
‘Diabetes food’ is specifically aimed at persons affected by this food restriction and their families.The objective is to facilitate day to day and improve the quality of life of people suffering from diabetes.Three hours, the workshop is in charge of a dietitian-nutritionist and a cook, still to be confirmed.
In a more theoretical first part, doubts of the attendees will be resolved.Then, through a culinary demonstration, it will be taught to introduce new foods or ingredients that can be interesting for this pathology, to use different techniques, utensils and traditional cooking methods and other avant -garde techniques, and to encourage creativity forAvoid monotony.
