The presentation, which will take place in the auditorium of the Aviles University Services Center, with free admission until capacity is completed, will lay the bases on the disease and its incidence nationally and internationally.The expert, a nutrition specialist, will analyze for those present the costs derived from the disease, that is, the assistance and medication expenses that are directly related to the disease since it is diagnosed and that are maintained throughout the years of treatment years.
Alfonso López Alba emphasizes that, although the late detection of the disease is a high cost for the health system, early diagnosis is easy and cheap, so the treatment in initial phases is affordable and effective.In addition, he insists that his continued monitoring avoids or greatly delays the presence of complications.
