Spanish Red Cross and Janssen have signed a collaboration agreement to continue promoting HIV projects and diabetes that will improve the health of the population.
In the signature ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Spanish Red Cross, the president and CEO of Janssen, Martín Sellés, stressed that “supporting the Red Cross in this type of initiatives, aimed at improving the health of the population, it is part of our commitment to society, something that is collected in the principles of our philosophy, since corporate social responsibility is an integral part of our strategy as an organization. ”
For his part, the National Secretary of the Spanish Red Cross, Leopoldo Pérez Suárez, has indicated that "Red Cross prioritizes health promotion, contributing to people, especially those especially vulnerable, empowered the care of their own health”
The projects to which both entities will give continuity will be ‘relear.Give yourself to the good life ’and HIV prevention workshops and hepatitis.The origin of this collaboration dates back to September 2012, when they launched various projects to promote healthy habits and prevention and approach to HIV and hepatitis.
The ‘Reaprende project.Give yourself to the good life, which has had the participation of María Adánez and Agustín Jiménez, reinforces the importance of maintaining or acquiring healthy habits that contribute to the prevention of type 2 diabetes and the reduction of its impact.The project includes the development of workshops and information through different networks and online platforms.
Spanish Red Cross and Janssen renew this project with two phases;A first with the realization of workshops for the promotion of healthy habits with the support of informative and didactic material, and a second with the development of a digital awareness campaign for World Diabetes Day.
